Public Contracts Scotland – www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk - is a new, free and easy to use web based resource allowing suppliers to gain access to publicly funded contract opportunities in Scotland.
This Scottish Government backed initiative allows public sector organisations in Scotland to advertise both high value and low value, Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) level and sub-threshold, contract opportunities. The creation of this national portal will enable suppliers to gain easy access to essential contract opportunities within the Scotland Public Sector, worth an estimated £8billion per year.
It is hoped the portal will encourage high quality, cost competitive suppliers to bid for publicly funded contracts from across Scotland. It will also support improved business relationships between the public and private sector and offer greater transparency to the business community.
